What is E Visa ?
An eVisa is an online record of your immigration status and the conditions of your permission to enter or stay in the UK. You need to create a UKVI account to be able to access your eVisa.
Do I have right to work, rent or claim benefit after my visa has expired ?
Your right to work, rent or claim benefit will normally cease after the expiry of your visa or leave to remain in the UK. However, if you have applied to renew your visa or leave to remain before the previous visa or leave to remain expired, you will continue to enjoy the same rights you have until a decision is made on the new application. This is sometimes referred as section 3C leave.
Can I become a British citizen if I hold a work or business visa in the UK?
In most cases, work and entrepreneurial-like visa lead to settlement after completing certain number of lawful residence years between 3 and 5 years. At the end of that period, an application can be made 12 months after to naturalise as a British citizen. If the applicant at the time of settlement is married to a British citizen, the application for naturalisation can be made without waiting for 12 months after the applicant’s settlement in the UK. Settlement in the UK is a form of permanent residence.
Does UK have a golden visa or citizenship by investment?
UK in recent years have moved towards prioritising talents than wealth in their visa schemes. This must have been informed by abuse and outcry against inflow of corruptly-acquired wealth in to the UK. This does not mean that wealthy investor can not still invest in the UK properties and businesses. So, the better reason should be that UK government has positioned itself to screen out persons who bring in ill-gotten wealth in to the UK and use that investment as an anchor for grant of residency/ subsequent citizenship. For these reasons, the visa schemes mirroring the golden visas have all been scrapped out. But there is still some tiny aperture or opening that can be explored if a business persons intend to invest and run a business in the UK-but whatever may be the intention, the applicant must have a approvable skill set for any of the application to survive. Wealth on its own will not cut it.

Does my child acquire British citizenship by reason of birth in the UK?
From 1st January 1983, birth in the UK does not automatically confer British citizenship (but a child born in the UK is not here illegally). However there are circumstances where a child would be born British, this could be where either of the parents held British citizenship or had indefinite leave to remain at the time of their birth. A child born who does not acquire British citizenship at birth can in certain circumstances apply to register as a British citizen.
What is ‘without recourse to public funds ‘ for spouse and other sponsored visas ?
Para 6 of the Immigration Rules explains it in this manner (i) A person (P) is not to be regarded as having (or potentially having) recourse to public funds merely because P is (or will be) reliant in whole or in part on public funds provided to P’s family sponsor unless, as a result of P’s presence in the UK, the family sponsor is (or would be) entitled to increased or additional public funds (save where such entitlement to increased or additional public funds is by virtue of P and the family sponsor’s joint entitlement to benefits under the (certain) regulations
